“SEO” is one of those internet acronyms you hear everywhere, usually in the context of “it’s really important.” But what is it? How do you do it? Why should you do it?
Fear not, all your questions will be answered in this new video series, featuring web design and internet marketing expert Austin Coulson, guru at ACU Web in Riverside, CA. (and if they’re not answered by the end of the video series, please ask them in the comments and we’ll get answers for you)
What is SEO? Simply put, SEO is stuff you can do on a regular basis to push your website up on Google. Whether you’re trying to attract buyers, sellers, commercial, you know, whatever your focus is within the real estate umbrella. There’s niches and practices that you can do that are actually pretty easy, you’d be surprised, on a weekly basis to help push your site up. And that’s what Winning with SEO channel is all about. Every week, we’re going to give you an activity that you can go and do on your own, or you can ask questions in the comments below. But you’ll be able to go out there and each week improve how your site shows up on Google.
Next week, we’re going to get into specifics about how SEO works, so that you have a grasp, you know, a picture of what it is and how it works so that as we go through these tasks, you can kind of see how they apply. Now, we’re not going to get into the algorithms of Google, or the specific number crunching that these big search engines use. We’re just going to give you an idea of what they look for, what’s good, what’s bad, and how you can apply it.
