Debbie’s Tips – Realtor, Trulia and Zillow are all gearing up!


Hello my name is Debbie DeGrote and I am the Owner and President of Excelleum Coaching and Consulting. So something interesting to share with you. You know one of the coaches on my team, I have some amazing incredibly successful talented people that work with me. 25 to 40 years industry experience. One of them just so happens to be Alan Dalton the former CEO of realtor.com. So here’s something that Alan and I were discussing the other day. You know because of his experience with realtor.com he knows what’s going on in that industry. And he said to me you know Debbie realtor.com, Zillow and Trulia are all gearing up to do with the seller market, exactly what they did with the buyer market. They’re going to disrupt or get in the way of those leads and then sell them back to the agents. You know there’s that show “Network” where that guy says, “You know are you I want you to open up the window and yell I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore.” Well guys I want you to get mad but then I want you to go do something about it. Because while agents are passing out pumpkins and flower seeds and scratch pads. Realtor, Trulia and Zillow are all gearing up in a very strategic way to get in the minds of these sellers. So you need to get out there first. Now if you want some information on how to do that we have created some great things called our “Community Marketing Systems” they’re fabulous, it’ll help you get out there in valuable ways and really set yourself apart as the authority. So the game is changing we gotta step up our game, we got to control this seller market. And somebody said to me the other day, “Gosh you know in the last 12 months just haven’t been very many listings in Orange County, California.” I didn’t have the chance to check the data, one of my coaches those shared with me that they checked it and there was a hundred and five thousand listings taken in Orange County in the last 12 months. Now I don’t know if that’s a hundred percent accurate bottom line though. We all know there are lots of listings taken. How many of those did you get? Did you get your fair share? So I want you to get mad, I want you to get busy and I want you to get out there and get in front of those sellers and those future sellers and stuff the pipeline full of potential great listing leads.
